I’m Lucy, midwife, nurse and qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher.

Welcome! My name is Lucy and I am passionate about empowering women and birthing people to feel confident and informed during pregnancy and birth. As a qualified hypnobirthing teacher with KGHypnobirthing, midwife and registered nurse, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and personal experience to help you prepare for a calm and positive birth.

My journey with hypnobirthing began during my first pregnancy when I discovered the power of breathing techniques and relaxation tools to stay calm and focused. By my second pregnancy, I deepened my understanding of what happens to the body during labour and birth, as well as the rights and options available to me. This knowledge transformed my confidence in my body’s ability to birth my baby naturally and empowered me to trust the process fully.

Now, I want to share this knowledge with you. Over the years, I’ve had countless conversations with women who feel unsure about their options or lack confidence in their ability to give birth. This inspired me to train as a hypnobirthing teacher so I can support women and birthing people by equipping them with evidence-based knowledge and practical skills. My goal is to help you feel prepared, calm, and confident, no matter what path your birthing journey takes.

With over a decade of experience in women’s health, including supporting women through early pregnancy and various gynaecological conditions, I’ve dedicated my career to helping women thrive. I stay up to date with the latest in the birth and maternity world to ensure that I provide you with accurate, evidence-based guidance that reflects current best practices.

If you’re looking for a warm, supportive, and knowledgeable guide to help you prepare for birth, I would be honoured to be part of your journey. Together, we can build your confidence, inform your choices, and create a calm and empowering birth experience.

What is hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is not stage hypnosis—it’s a practical and evidence informed approach to labour and birth. At its core, hypnobirthing helps you achieve a deep state of relaxation through practice during pregnancy. This relaxation allows your body to labour more effectively, promoting a smoother and often more comfortable birth experience.

Our KGHypnobirthing course offers a complete and comprehensive hypnobirthing and antenatal program. You’ll gain an understanding of the science of hypnosis, why it’s beneficial during labour and how it can support a quicker, more comfortable birth. With this knowledge, you’ll be motivated to practice during pregnancy, making the techniques more effective when you need them—without requiring conscious effort in the moment.

What You'll Learn:

  • The Physiology of Birth: Understand what happens in your body during labour so you can work with it, not against it.
  • Deep Relaxation Techniques: Practice entering a calm state that allows birth hormones to flow naturally and optimally.
  • Releasing Fear: Let go of fears and anxieties about birth, even those buried in your subconscious from past experiences or stories.
  • Navigating Birth with Confidence: Explore potential scenarios during labour and learn how to navigate them positively.
  • Your Rights and Choices: Feel empowered with knowledge about your options in pregnancy and birth.

By the end of our course, you’ll feel excited and prepared for the birth of your baby. Hypnobirthing is more than just a technique - it’s about creating a positive mindset and empowering you for the journey ahead.

Testimonials

I hoped to gain time for myself to switch off and relax during the final weeks of my pregnancy and meet women going through the same. I learnt so much information from Lucy and the pregnancy relaxation sessions. The topics each week I always took something away and learnt a lot as well as being able to relax and have some me time. The sessions and Lucy helped me to feel more relaxed and informed on birth and what choices we can make to help improve birth when the time comes very soon hopefully!

Thank you for the sessions each week everyone was so welcoming and they were really helpful to destress at the end of the week and they always led me to have the best night's sleep which at 30+ weeks pregnant was very much appreciated!
